Fernandes Cottage is a local accommodation (Alojamento Local, AL 118336) operated by Marlene Fernandes, at Estrada António de Carvalhal 147 (Antiga Estrada Regional), 9240-103 Ponta Delgada, São Vicente, Madeira, Portugal. These terms apply to stays booked directly with us. Contact: reservations@fernandescottage.com.
Maximum occupancy: Cork House 4 guests, Casa da Palmeira 4 guests, Pool Suite 2 guests. Babies under 2 don't count as guests.
Check-in is from 15:00 by self check-in key safe; check-out is until 11:00. The property is non-smoking indoors. The pool is unfenced and unsupervised — children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Guests are responsible for any damage caused during the stay. Prices are per night for the stated number of guests and include water, electricity and Wi-Fi. A one-off cleaning charge of €65 per stay and €25 per night for each guest above two are shown before you request a booking and are included in the total we confirm. Where the municipal tourist tax applies, it is shown as a separate line before you send your request.
Portuguese law applies. Consumers may use the national complaints book at livroreclamacoes.pt.
Cancellation policy
We send a secure payment link for the full amount once we confirm availability and the final price; the booking is confirmed when payment is received. Cancellation counts calendar days before your arrival date: up to and including 30 days before, 100% of the accommodation back; 29 to 15 days before, 50% of the accommodation; fewer than 15 days before, none of the accommodation. In all three cases the cleaning charge and, where it applies, the tourist tax are refunded in full. A no-show — not arriving without having cancelled — gets no refund of the accommodation or the cleaning charge, because the house was prepared for you; the tourist tax, where it applies, is still refunded, as it is not due without a stay. Example: arriving on 20 August, cancel by 21 July and everything comes back; from 22 July to 5 August, half the accommodation plus the full cleaning charge; from 6 August, the cleaning charge only.
